Paragraph of the Week Free

$0.00

Paragraph of the Week is making my students amazing writers! ❤️

This is a 3 week sample of the full Paragraph of the Week Opinion, Paragraph of the Week Descriptive, and Paragraph of the Week Persuasive.

Save $$$$$ by purchasing the Paragraph of the Week Bundle. It includes the Persuasive, Opinion, and Descriptive Paragraph of the Week packages. That's 111 prompts!!

This structured, consistent approach allows students to focus on there writing skills and not the directions. Each week has the same format with a new topic. It is a 4 day format so you can send it as homework or keep it in the classroom. It is successfully used both ways at our school.

✏Day 1 Students gather their thoughts and ideas. Then, they select the 3 favorite ideas to include in the paragraph.

✏Day 2 Students develop the ideas into sentences. They also add a supporting detail (or 2, differentiation) for sentence.

✏Day 3 Writing the introduction and conclusion sentences. Students also reread the day 2 sentences to revise for word choice and grammar.

✏Day 4 Students write the final draft and check for convention errors.

All topics are personal so you're students are automatic experts on the content. There is no research to be done to complete these paragraphs. All the content comes from their personal experiences and thoughts. There are no wrong answers here.

This package also includes a blank editable set for you to personalize your own topics, rubrics, a parent letter for homework, and completed samples for you.
